We're seeking a talented Commissioning Agent to join our rapidly growing Commissioning (Cx) group. Employment Type: Full-time Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote Salary Range: $105,000-$130,000, based on experience Career Level: Mid-level Location: Long Beach, CA General Responsibilities As a Commissioning Agent, you will lead, plan, and coordinate commissioning activities across all phases of a project-from design through post-construction. You'll perform design reviews, develop commissioning documentation, and conduct field testing to ensure systems meet owner requirements and design intent. Design & Planning ⦁ Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with owner requirements and sustainability goals ⦁ Identify design issues related to operability, maintainability, and code compliance ⦁ Coordinate commissioning tasks with construction schedules ⦁ Testing & Documentation ⦁ Develop detailed pre-functional and functional test plans ⦁ Conduct field testing and diagnose minor controls or operational issues ⦁ Document issues and track resolution across all project phases ⦁ Prepare commissioning reports and assist in developing O&M manuals ⦁ Support project certification documentation when required ⦁ Project Management & Communication ⦁ Manage commissioning projects involving multiple trades ⦁ Communicate clearly with internal and external teams to maintain positive relationships ⦁ Deliver projects on time and under budget while maintaining quality standards Position Requirements ⦁ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) ⦁ Certified Commissioning Authority (ACG) or Certified Commissioning Professional (BCA), or ability to obtain within 6 months ⦁ LEED GA or AP (desirable but not required) Experience Required ⦁ 6-9 years of experience in commissioning documentation and field testing ⦁ Functional knowledge of building systems across disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls, lighting, etc.) ⦁ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and NewForma ⦁ Strong verbal and written communication skills ⦁ Project management experience preferred #LI-Hybrid #LI-CC1
