Assistant Maintenance Manager

Assistant Maintenance Manager Must have experience with Heavy Mobile Equipment Overview: This role focuses on ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on leadership, technical expertise, and safety. Key Duties: Support daily maintenance operations and team supervision Oversee machinery upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance Help plan scheduled maintenance and system upgrades Promote safety compliance and culture Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements Maintain maintenance records and manage budgets Collaborate with other departments to reduce downtime Train and support maintenance staff Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) 5+ years in industrial maintenance, ideally in steel or heavy manufacturing Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge Proven leadership and problem-solving skills Experience with CMMS and maintenance best practices Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator Familiar with industrial safety standards Physical Requirements: Comfortable in high-temp, noisy environments Able to lift heavy objects and work varied shifts, including weekends/on-call
