SUMMARY: Roebuck Landscaping is searching for a driven, detail-oriented, and highly personable Human Resources Assistant to join our growing People & Culture team. This is more than an entry point, it’s a launchpad. For the right person, this role can quickly progress to HR Generalist and eventually HR Manager as we scale the business. As the right hand to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you’ll play a key role in recruiting and talent acquisition efforts, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate pipelines, and providing an outstanding experience for both candidates and employees. Alongside your HR duties, you’ll also support select administrative responsibilities that keep our office running smoothly. CAREER PATH : For the right candidate, this role offers a fast-track progression to: HR Generalist (expand ownership over HR operations, compliance, and employee engagement) HR Manager (lead the HR function, mentor future team members, and drive strategic people initiatives) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Excellence: Partner directly with HR leadership to manage full-cycle recruiting support: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking data Ensure a seamless candidate experience from first contact through onboarding Assist in building and maintaining talent pipelines for high-priority roles Coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers and department leaders. Human Resources & People Support: Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant Maintain employee records and HRIS data with precision and confidentiality Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and HR communications Help prepare reports, track metrics, and monitor HR processes for efficiency and compliance. Administrative & Office Support: Serve as a welcoming point of contact for employees, visitors, and candidates Assist with general office organization, supply ordering, and scheduling Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups for HR-related events and initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: 1–3 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, ADP, Paycom, or similar) for employee data management and reporting Experience coordinating and scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens, and supporting full-cycle recruiting processes Strong understanding of HR fundamentals, including onboarding, employee file compliance, and employment law basics Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new systems and applicant tracking software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with HR leadership High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work.
