Maintenance Manager

Location: Harrisonburg, VA (Relocation assistance provided) Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Plant Manager / Director of Operations Key Responsibilities: Oversee all maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, and utilities systems. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF, GMP) and OSHA regulations. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and capital improvement projects. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize production disruptions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using CMMS or similar systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment. Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, utilities (boilers, refrigeration, HVAC), and automation systems. Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices.
