Travel is conducted via a company-provided vehicle, with all gas, maintenance, and insurance covered (a total value of $10,000-$15,000+ per year for most employees). You must be willing and able to travel to various sites on a weekly basis. Candidates not able to commit to regular, overnight, or extended field travel should not apply. We are currently seeking an HR Field Engagement Coordinator to join a performance-driven organization committed to employee experience and workforce development. This role is ideal for an early-career HR or talent professional-someone with a solid foundation in HR (typically 1-4 years of relevant experience) who is passionate about creating meaningful connections with frontline employees and supporting strong retention practices. This is a full-time, onsite position based in New Orleans, Louisiana . Candidates must be local. Regular, weekly travel (up to 50%) to locations throughout the South-including Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and surrounding areas-is required. This is a field-based position supporting multiple locations within the Deep South region. About the Role: As HR Field Engagement Coordinator, you will serve as the bridge between newly hired employees and operational leadership, ensuring a thoughtful and inclusive onboarding process. You will champion engagement programs that build connection and belonging, and play a critical role in advancing retention and employee morale from Day One forward. You'll take the lead on field-based initiatives to recognize employees, advocate wellness, and promote a people-first culture, all while providing practical guidance on employee relations and ensuring policy compliance. Your ability to partner across teams and deliver actionable feedback will directly support our business goals and strengthen workforce stability across all sites. Key Responsibilities: * Lead employee engagement and recognition programs across multiple sites, building connection, morale, and a sense of belonging for all employees * Identify turnover trends and support the design and implementation of retention strategies in collaboration with HR leadership * Advise site and team leaders on employee relations matters, balancing accountability with a focus on an inclusive, supportive culture * Champion wellness, advocate employee recognition, and help boost overall morale through ongoing field initiatives * Conduct employee surveys, stay interviews, and exit interviews to capture meaningful feedback for continuous improvement * Deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring Day One is positive and that ongoing support is consistent throughout early tenure * Collaborate across practices, divisions, and job functions to support workforce engagement and broader business objectives * Ensure policy compliance while maintaining a people-first approach in all daily interactions * Track new hire retention data and engagement KPIs to inform ongoing workforce strategies * Maintain accurate documentation and tools to continuously improve onboarding, engagement, and communication processes Candidate Profile: * 1-4 years of experience in HR, Talent, Employee Onboarding * Bachelor's degree preferred (HR, Business, or related majors ideal) * Personable, caring, and enthusiastic about helping others succeed in their roles * Able to manage time independently, work across multiple departments, and build relationships at all levels * Must be comfortable with regular, weekly travel (up to 50%) across the Deep South; valid driver's license required * Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus * Familiarity with social media or digital tools used for employee communications is a bonus This is a highly visible, high-impact opportunity for someone looking to grow their career while making a real difference in how employees experience their first steps with a company.
