Pipefitter

The Department of the Navy is currently accepting applications for a Pipefitter (WG-4204-05/08/10) . Successful candidates will be employed by TRIDENT Refit Facility, Kings Bay (TRIREFFAC-KB) located at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA. General and Career Information: Starting salaries are commensurate with education and experience, plus full benefits. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Males born after December 31, 1959 are required to be registered with the Selective Service System. All positions are subject to satisfactory completion of a security investigation, successful completion of a pre-employment physical, and/or drug test. - Demonstrates the ability to assemble, install, maintain, and repair piping systems. - Demonstrates the ability to fabricate piping system assemblies by cutting, bending, brazing, and beveling. - Ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications, blueprints, etc. to perform job duties. - Skilled in the use of trade tools such as grinders, brazing torches, measuring tools, hydraulic pipe benders, and silver solders. - Able to assist journey level pipefitters with troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and installing tank level indicators.
