Job Details Job Location: Lebanon - Lebanon, PA Salary Range: Undisclosed Description Department: Service Reports To: Service Manager Purpose The Ground and Fleet Support Technician is the go-to resource for the Service Department regarding rental equipment returns and rental checkouts. This role performs 360° inspections on all rental equipment upon return, documents findings, and coordinates necessary repairs or maintenance with the service team. In addition, this position supports daily rental operations and assists the Service Manager with assigned tasks related to overall Service Department support. Responsibilities * Perform complete 360° visual and functional inspections on all rental equipment upon return, documenting condition and any necessary repairs on work orders. * Support rental checkouts by assisting with equipment preparation, ensuring machines are clean, fueled, serviced, and ready for delivery or pickup. * Assist Sales with new equipment sales processing. * Coordinate with Service Department personnel to address any maintenance or repair needs identified during inspections. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, repairs, and service notes. * Assist with equipment movement, staging, and organization of the rental yard and shop area. * Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required for the role. Records fuel usage. * Support Service Manager with assigned duties, including shop organization, inventory checks, and administrative tasks related to service workflow. * Follow all safety rules and regulations, ensuring compliance during equipment operation and handling. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Participate in training as required to improve skills and knowledge of equipment, inspection processes, and dealership operations. Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge * Experience operating and inspecting construction equipment or similar machinery preferred. * Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in off-road, heavy, or construction equipment. * Strong attention to detail in identifying equipment damage, wear, or maintenance needs. * Basic computer skills for entering inspection results and service notes; experience with Service ADVISOR or similar systems preferred. * Ability to work cooperatively with Service, Rental, and Parts Department personnel. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Must possess or be able to obtain the necessary toolset to perform job duties. * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. * Valid driver's license required.
