Diesel/Automotive Technician

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a skilled Full-time Diesel/Automotive Technician to join our Fleet Department in Niles, OH. This position will work Monday - Friday, dayshift . Wage Range: $28.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience. The responsibilities of this position include: - Conduct regular maintenance on trucks and trailers including inspections, tire rotations, oil changes, etc. - Perform regular and in-depth diagnostic tests on both truck and trailer systems - Perform both minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers - Maintain complete and accurate records of each inspection/repair performed Requirements: - Experience in automotive mechanics to include diesel - Current Driver's license - Refrigeration experience preferred - Understanding of all facets of large truck maintenance and repair - Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude - Motivated, self-starter, seeking continuous improvement - Must have access to tools Benefits: AVI is proud of its team members and appreciates the hard work, loyalty and committed service they provide every day, and we offer the following: - Immense training and growth opportunities - A family culture and atmosphere - Wage Range: $28 - $30 per hour depending on experience - Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance for full-time team members - 401(k) with generous company match - Paid vacations and holidays We conduct pre-employment drug testing.
