Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies. * Organize and schedule truckloads with carriers and customers. * Monitor shop order progress to create daily and next day shipping lists. * Prepare daily shipping paperwork and lists using computer and manual forms. * Pick stock shipments. * Close out shipping bills. * Communicate with Sales, Customers, and Logistics companies as needed. * Load planning for truckload and LTL shipments and Target Freight, and maintain good working relationships with freight suppliers. * Attend any productions meetings in the absence of the Shipping Supervisor. * Understand the ISO system and elements that affect the job. EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE: * Proficient with Windows-based computer applications. * UPS & other shipping equipment and processes. * Electronic scale. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years job experience. * Customer service experience. * Data entry experience. * Must be fluent with ERP system as relevant to position. * Excellent verbal & written communication skills. * Self-motivated. * Thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks and proactive toward continuous improvement. * Perform other duties as required. * Ability to analyze problems and find effective solutions. * Ability to work with all types of people and operate effectively in a team setting.
