Assistant General Manager

PubKey DC is looking for a top-notch operations person.   You’ll be the on-the-floor co-pilot to the Director of Ops for the launch of a 10,000 sf venue with semi-fine restaurant, neighborhood tavern sport sbar, event space with 20ft stage and livestream capability, dedicated podcast studio, and office subtenant. AGM will lead daily service (opens/closes, pre-shifts, guest recovery), uphold cash controls and cleanliness/audit standards, and own weekly FOH schedules and labor plans. Partner tightly with the DO, Executive Chef, Bar Manager, Events Lead, and AV to execute smooth turns between lunch, dinner, and events. Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, obsessive about organization, numbers-literate, and hands-on trainers who continuously seek to elevate standards. A constant mind toward improvement is a must. Prior experience with high-volume, multi-outlet venues is a strong plus; ServSafe Manager/TIPS preferred; nights/weekends required.   Quarterly bonus up to 10% tied to a balanced KPI mix: labor % adherence, comp/void discipline, mystery-shop/guest-satisfaction scores, audit/cleanliness compliance, and training completion. Clear growth path over accelerated timeline as the org expands.
