Diesel Bus Mechanic

Diesel Bus Mechanic Academy Bus is seeking an experienced Class A Diesel Bus Mechanic for our Baltimore, MD location. Must have experience working on Van Hool, Temsa, and Prevost Buses. Familiar with Cummins and Detroit engines. Must have experience troubleshooting issues with Electrical & Engine diagnostics on Buses with a laptop, i.e. Detroit, Allison, Cummins. Must have own tools. Available Shifts:Sunday-Thursday, 7:00pm-3:30amTuesday-Saturday, 7:00pm-3:30amPay rate is $35.00-$44.00 per hour, based on candidate experience level. Responsibilities: Diesel Mechanic Class A / Level 1Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour bus engines and transmissionsReconditioning, preventative and routine maintenanceInspections and road testsWarranty and repair documentationDiagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as: Diesel engines, electronic systems/motors/controls, drive line components, tires, bearings, brake systems, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, belts, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages, radiators, heating, air conditioning, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, suspensions, seating, steering, and glass.Respond to road callsGeneral welding/fabricationTrain and supervise B/C Level Mechanics and maintenance staffRequirements:Must have experience working on Van Hool, Temsa, and Prevost busesMust be familiar Cummins and Detroit enginesMust have AC CertificationProven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, pullers, VOA instruments, reamers, vacuum and compression pumps, welding equipment, and testing instrumentsProficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipmentBasic computer skillsAbility to pass pre-employment background check and drug screenValid CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsementHealth Insurance and Benefits Offered Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and Life insuranceSupplemental coverages401K planPaid time offPaid holidaysAcademy is EEO Academy , an industry leader in ground transportation has provided a stable environment for over 50 years.
