Overview Shef is a modern-day shared personal chef service, connecting talented chefs to busy individuals and families seeking high quality meals delivered to their home. We’ve built a platform for independent chefs who want to grow something of their own: Shef handles delivery, customer service, platform logistics and more, allowing you to just focus on the cooking. Our subscription service will launch in Boston in Jan 2026, so this is a great time to apply and be a part of the launch cohort. We're currently active in the Seattle, New York, San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Los Angeles regions. Job Description We are seeking talented chefs to cook for our weekly meal plan service, our curated subscription offering focused on easy dinners and lunches. This subscription model is designed for recurring orders, unlocking steady revenue for our participating chefs. All our chefs undergo vetting, taste tasting and menu workshopping to ensure the food offerings meet our standards. Compensation is a flat fee per serving sold. You have Catering, private chef, or professional kitchen experience Culinary School degree and/or 1+ years of experience in restaurant kitchens Your food handler's or food manager's certificate (or are willing to obtain one) The ability to cook at least 10 servings a day You are Passionate about solving mealtime stress for families Motivated, responsive, and professional Precise with food safety measures and cleanliness Able to cook 1-4 days/week Experienced at cooking one of the following cuisines: Mediterranean, Italian, New American, Mexican, Middle Eastern, East/ South East Asian, etc. Application Process Apply directly at  Applications via Culinary Agents alone may not be reviewed Note :   This is not a   traditional restaurant job, it's a chance to build your own food brand on a growing platform.
