Morihiro offers an omakase sushi experience prepared by Chef Morhiro Onodera. We offer hyper seasonal ingredients from the farmer’s market sourced both locally and from Japan. Combining the service style of omotenashi and western fine dining, we hope to welcome our guests to a level of fine dining that is catered specific to them. We are in search for staff members that want to work hard, learn and improve each and every day! Willingness to work with guests and coworkers and ability to adapt to different situations are the core values that we require for the position. This is a full time host position for our new Echo Park location! Responsibilities: Present professional and excellent communication skills in person and through phone calls or email Exhibit knowledge of the Food and Beverage menu, reservation policies, operating hours, and other information about the restaurant to be able to address common guest inquiries Be able to manage the flow of the guests into the dining room and bar Managing reservations and seating times to maximize seating occupancy Contacting guests for confirmation status through OpenTable platform Managing e-mail reservation requests and other Warmly greeting all guests upon arrival and departure Understanding the pace of service through awareness of timing, table status, and upcoming seatings, effectively communicating to guests if we are behind on reservations Maintain an organized waitlist for guests without reservations, providing accurate wait times and updates. Assisting the service team with delivery of food and drinks to guests, maintenance of the dining room tables and the general support of the servers as they work directly with our guest Frequent Bathroom cleanliness checks Maintain a clean front door and dining room and adhere to all health and safety standards Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: Conversational English vocabulary Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos in meetings and through email.
