Capital Lighting - Field Service Technician

Location: Capital Lighting 901 Polaris Parkway Pay Rate: $23.50/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM We are looking for a positive and energetic individual to join our team as a Service Technician / Warehouse Associate. This unique, dual-role position offers variety in your day-to-day responsibilities and the chance to work in both residential job sites and our warehouse. Position Summary In this role, your time will be split between field service and warehouse responsibilities. As a Service Technician, you'll perform a wide range of installations in both occupied homes and homes still under construction by our builder partners. Installations can range from large chandeliers on two-story ceilings to replacing doorbell chimes. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, especially when interacting with homeowners or job site supervisors. Technicians are also responsible for documenting each job with before-and-after photos or videos to ensure quality and accountability. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll help manage inventory, support daily operations, and contribute to keeping our space clean and organized. Essential Skills & Qualifications * Ability to safely use A-frame ladders (4ft to 16ft) and extension ladders (up to 24ft) * Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are a plus * Comfortable working independently or in tandem with other technicians * Familiarity with the Columbus Metro area is helpful * Strong attention to detail and communication skills * Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly * Experience in a warehouse setting * Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks (On-site training and certification provided if needed) * Ability to assist with setting up or taking down showroom displays * Willingness to perform routine cleaning duties and daily equipment inspections * Maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations * Occasionally drive company vehicles to deliver materials to job sites Requirements * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for driving company vehicles) * High school diploma or equivalent * Positive attitude and dependable work ethic What We Offer * Competitive Pay: $23.50/hour * Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage * Retirement Plan: 401(k) * Paid Time Off * Annual Performance Evaluations * Supportive Team Environment If you're ready to work in a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you! #ZR
