Job Description

Position Overview:We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager I to oversee the coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned construction projects. This role partners closely with the Lead Superintendent and plays a critical part in managing all project phases from pre-construction through final handover. The PM I ensures successful project outcomes by controlling documentation, cost, schedule, communication, and compliance while fostering a safe and productive environment.Key Responsibilities:Safety LeadershipPartner with the Lead Superintendent to promote a culture of safety on-siteConduct a minimum of 4 site safety inspections monthlyDrive safety-focused dialogue during weekly internal meetingsDocumentation & Procurement OversightInterpret and manage project plans, specifications, and contractual termsTrack procurement items and ensure timely delivery of critical materialsAdminister submittals and maintain a live procurement logConfirm compliance from all subcontractors including required insurance and contract documentationStakeholder CommunicationMaintain clear, professional communication with owners, architects, and subcontractorsLead daily coordination of project tasks and anticipate resource requirementsManage the flow of documentation and updates between all partiesRepresent company in meetings, providing professional and informed updatesCost and Budget ControlManage project buyout process, including scoping, bidding, and subcontractor negotiationSet up, monitor, and control job cost budgets and field expensesDrive profitability by ensuring cost forecasting and monthly reporting are accurate and timelyLead change management processes: assess requests, negotiate terms, and issue subcontractor changes to maintain workflowOversee monthly requisition cycles and ensure vendor payment complianceProject Scheduling & ReportingDevelop and maintain a detailed baseline project scheduleCollaborate on monthly updates that reflect current conditions, delays, and staffingReview work plans in advance to minimize coordination conflictsParticipate in project turnover and closeout strategiesSupport labor relations and assist with union-related procedures as neededTeam LeadershipSupervise and guide the work of Assistant Project ManagersReview deliverables to ensure quality and accuracyFoster team success through coaching and mentorshipMinimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of professional experience in construction project managementProven ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule within a construction environmentStrong interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership approachMilitary experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.We are an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, disability and/or other protected categories.
