In this position, you will be responsible for surveying projects, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and project timelines to customers.Summary of ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Estimator will lead the pricing and bidding of construction projectsSolicit and maintain communications with subcontractors and vendorsRead Architectural/MEP drawings thoroughly to draft bid lists and scope of work Visit jobsites with subcontractors to verify understanding of scope prior to receiving bidsPrepare subcontractor bid packages utilizing company processes Use creative approaches and negotiate with subcontractors to gain better pricingManaging bids from vendors and contractors and use bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysisBuyout contracts with subcontractorsPrepare and bid change orders during construction processCollaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracyPresent estimates to clients in a timely mannerRecommend cost-reduction/value engineer optionsAssist project management team in final project preparation transactionsQualifications:5+ years as commercial construction estimatorStrong project management and computer skillsAbility to read construction documents and drawingsFamiliarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projectsFamiliarity and qualified capabilities with ProCore, Smartsheets, MS Project, Bluebeam and other project management and estimating softwareProficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detailFamiliarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projectsCollege degree preferred
