With branches in Hampden, Rockport, West Bath, Waterville, Houlton, and Presque Isle, we are able to provide superior service to the entire state of Maine. P.D.Q. Door Company is actively seeking mechanically inclined, self-motivated individuals to join our dynamic team throughout the state of Maine. SummaryIn the role of Auxiliary Technician/Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role by assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of garage doors, dock equipment, automatic pedestrian doors, and related systems. Prior experience is not a prerequisite, as we provide thorough on-the-job training. DutiesAssist with the installation of garage door products per manufacture specifications.Gather and prepare materials needed for install and service jobs.Maintain paperwork and records as necessary.Maintain safe, secure. and healthy work environment. RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age.Must possess a valid Driver's License.Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.Must have dependable & reliable transportation to and from your base office location. Preferred QualificationsBasic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and/or electrical.Mechanical inclination SkillsWillingness to learnStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailCustomer service orientated mindsetAdaptability to changing work environmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Work ConditionsNon-climate-controlled environment - potentially working in all weather conditions.Frequently sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
