The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating and preparing an accurate cost estimate of labor, materials, and equipment for the full construction span of a project.ResponsibilitiesDetermine detailed cost estimates for planned specifications and determine overall project requirementsPrepare estimates for the quantity take-off on each projectGenerate trade lists, draft bid invites, and track progress on each project to ensure coverage for required trades and materialsUnderstand pricing impact based on external factors such as labor, material, and weatherReview and provide support on bid solicitationsDevelop strong relationships with qualified subcontractorsCollaborate with the Project Management team through the estimating processIdentify any risk factors that may impact the original project scopeResearch and evaluate potential new projects on prospecting websites and newspapersConduct site visits for the potential new projectsQualifications5+ years minimum of experience with strong communications skills4-yr college degreepreferred, high school diploma requiredAbility to read and understand construction documentsHave full depth knowledge of construction tradesComplete understanding of construction regulations, procedures, and building codesStrong with Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook, Planwell, and BidMailExtensive knowledge of the bid process and contract deliveryA valid driver's license and acceptable driving historyOther Skills and AbilitiesExcellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on qualityAbility to multi-task multiple projectsOrganizational skills to achieve accuracy and efficiencyWell-developed interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn and adaptDesire to build a strong foundation with colleagues and company culture.New Dynasty Construction Co. is an equal-opportunity employer.
