Reporting to the Director for Mobilization and Faith Relations, the Mobilization Officer is responsible for stewarding Global Refuge's Ambassador and Volunteer networks and the programs, training, and communication channels they participate in throughout the year. The role will connect Ambassadors and Volunteers to timely advocacy needs, seasonal and annual initiatives like Hope for All, Hope for the Holidays and Neighbor Kits, and provide the training and communication required to retain active supporters. This position curates public participation in the work of welcome on behalf of Global Refuge. This role also supports the Director of the team in the maintenance of existing faith networks by collaborating on regular communications, public speaking and preaching as well as tracking metrics for engagement of each constituent group. The Mobilization Officer will "equip the public to live out the work of welcome through education...and tangible action," a vital part of Mobilization and Faith Relation's purpose statement. When applicable, the planning and execution of events for the purposes of education, recruitment and celebration falls to this role, including but limited to the annual Hope for the Holidays event each December. This role will collaborate with each relevant office for the successful implementation of their role, including the President's Office, the Advocacy Team, Programs, Direct Legal and Development. The Mobilization Officer must have strong organizational skills, public speaking ability and be able to manage one's own time well with a variety of tasks. Travel to staff events and representing Global Refuge amongst our networks and faith communities will occasionally be required. DUTIES * Manage the Global Refuge Volunteer and Ambassador Network, a diverse national constituent group, who are to be recruited, trained, regularly communicated with and stewarded along a pathway to deeper engagement. This includes sending regular monthly and quarterly communication to new, and existing, volunteers and Ambassadors. * Connect Ambassadors, volunteers and faith communities with national program opportunities * Support the Director for Mobilization and Faith Relations in executing the team's national strategy for deepening public engagement. * Own and oversee Mobilization and Faith Relations' national programs including, but not limited to, Hope for the Holidays, Hope for All and Neighbor Kits. * Conduct trainings for Global Refuge Ambassadors, support Field Offices in volunteer engagement and retention, support implementation of Faith Alliance congregational training. * In collaboration with the Director for Mobilization and Faith Relations, and Development colleagues, participate in the stewardship of supportive faith community relationships through thank-you calls, meetings, supporting appeals, and other activities that nurture generosity from faith communities. * Log and track communications and interactions with constituents in Salesforce, Global Refuge's CRM, and chart progress toward strategic goals using the tools Salesforce provides. * Execute the Mobilization team's national strategy for volunteer and Ambassador engagement, with close support of the Director. * Regularly meet with other Global Refuge department staff and local affiliates to discern current needs and translate those needs into tangible action and asks for Mobilization and Faith Relations' constituents. * Field constituent calls, support the outreach inbox, and answer emails and requests for information and assistance from constituents. * Perform other similar and related duties as required. * Up to 20% travel required. QUALIFICATIONS * A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience * 2+ years of experience in volunteer program management and/or pastoral programs * High proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM * Proficiency in public speaking and/or preaching, and networking among large groups * Deep understanding and appreciation for different cultures; ability to build relationships and communicate across cultural differences is imperative * Ability to listen well and gather impressions from various communities into an action plan * A positive attitude and an earnest interest in providing quality customer service to Global Refuge's stakeholders and partners * Relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across departments * Self-motivated and goal-driven; able to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as member of a team * Ability to build new relationships with partners and to represent Global Refuge at high level meetings and at events * Ability to navigate and collaborate with a diverse workforce * Commitment to Global Refuge's core mission and values and an ability to model those values in relationship with colleagues and partners; commitment to empowering refugees and migrants Global Refuge is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
