Title: Senior Project Manager Salary: DOE Location: Midtown, Manhattan, NYC Summary A leading General Contractor in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background managing both ground-up and interior construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across all phases of construction including foundation, superstructure, demolition, faade, core & shell, as well as high-end interior fit-outs. This role requires a strategic leader with the ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards while fostering strong relationships with clients, architects, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage all project staff and maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors. Provide leadership for both ground-up developments and interior build-outs, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Oversee project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages. Conduct regular project meetings with ownership teams, consultants, and subcontractors to track progress and resolve issues proactively. Review and approve subcontractor/vendor invoices, negotiate changes when needed, and ensure timely client billing. Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams to support budgeting, bidding, and value engineering efforts. Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, safety requirements, and Local Laws. Drive project execution from demolition through completion, whether large-scale core & shell or complex interior fit-outs. Qualifications & Requirements 8+ years of commercial general contractor project management experience with a mix of ground-up and interior projects (core & shell, base building, high-end interiors). Experience with corporate, commercial, institutional, and/or educational projects is highly desirable. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience preferred. Proven track record of successfully delivering both large-scale structural projects and fast-paced interior renovations. Strong leadership and supervisory skills; prior experience managing Site Superintendents and project teams. Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. NYC Local Law 196 SST Supervisor Card (62 Hours) required.
