The OpportunityAs our Probate and Estate Planning Attorney, you will help us develop our probate department. This is a crucial leadership role where you will not only manage cases but also build and mentor a team, starting with hiring and onboarding a dedicated Probate Paralegal. Please make sure your video and audio are clear.Upload Link: Compensation:$80,000 - $90,000 yearly Responsibilities:Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefsWork closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projectsProvide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of actionRepresent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedingsDetermine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis Your Role Will Involve: Practice & Department Leadership:Build the Probate Department: Develop and lead the firm's Probate practice area, with potential expansion into Guardianship and Trust Administration. You will leverage your expertise to drive efficiency and innovation, aligning all processes with our firm's core principles.Process Creation: Design, implement, and continually optimize all probate processes and procedures to ensure a seamless and compassionate client experience from start to finish.Operational Excellence: Master and ensure follow-through on our firm's established systems and best practices, especially our technology stack, to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency.Estate Planning: Provide expert legal counsel and services in estate planning, which will be a secondary but vital part of your responsibilities. Leadership & Team Development:Team Building: Take full responsibility for hiring and onboarding a Probate/Guardianship or Probate/Elder Law Paralegal to support your growing department.Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture where asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.Performance Management: Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), holding your team accountable for goals in a supportive, clear, and constructive manner.Knowledge Sharing: Lead and engage in regular knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborative problem-solving on complex cases to elevate the entire team's expertise.Conflict Resolution: Engage in healthy conflict to solve real problems quickly, always aiming to resolve issues constructively by balancing kindness, firmness, and clarity. Firm Growth & Community Engagement:Relationship Building: Forge and nurture lasting relationships with referral partners, clients, and team members as a key driver of our firm's growth. This includes active participation in networking events.Community Engagement: Lead monthly client-generating workshops (a mix of in-person and webinars) to connect with potential clients and expand our firm's reach.Metrics-Driven Success: Meet and exceed pre-set monthly revenue goals through a combination of estate planning sessions and probate, guardianship, or trust administration cases, with a target client engagement/close rate of 80% after the initial consultation. Qualifications:Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 yearsPublic speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this rolePrior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years requiredAbility to use Microsoft Office is requiredWell-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) What You Bring:A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Florida .Demonstrated experience in Florida probate and estate planning.You're driven, take initiative, and have a growth mindset to apply this within a collaborative team.Exceptional integrity , honesty , and loyalty , with a client-first mentality.A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a supportive team, where asking for help is a strength.Strong communication and interpersonal skills , capable of fostering healthy relationships with team members and engaging clients.Highly tech-savvy: Proficient with G-Suite, various CRMs, payment processing software, and Zoom, with the ability to self-troubleshoot technical issues. We are committed to leveraging modern legal technology to enhance our practice and client experience, and you will play a key role in ensuring our team effectively utilizes these tools and adopts new solutions, including as well as leveraging AI.Ability to learn quickly: You possess a strong aptitude for rapidly acquiring new knowledge and skills, essential for adapting to evolving legal landscapes and existing firm processes.
