Bad Brother is a neighborhood Bar and Restaurant that aims to execute with fine dining levels of detail. Our very small family lead team is dedicated to providing outstanding service and high-quality food in a welcoming, energetic atmosphere. We are a very small restaurant and we require all of our staff to be cross trained and wear many hats. We're looking for a versatile and hardworking individual to join our team in a hybrid role of Porter and Food Runner . This role will be 5 shifts total and consist of 1-2 food running shifts combined with 3-4 porter shifts depending on the week and the restaurants staffing demands. This is mainly a porter position with a mix of food running and sometimes bar backing. Ability to be flexible in your role is key. This position is a mix of hourly + a small amount of tips. You can expect to work around 30-35 hours per week and make $17 per hour on average depending on the week. The porter position will wear many hats and will mainly be responsible for the cleaning and setting of the restaurant. This includes but is not limited to sweeping and mopping all floors, cleaning bathrooms, stocking to - go, setting the dining rooms, assisting with bar prep, putting away kitchen orders, putting away beer orders, putting away wine and liquor orders, getting the dish pit cleaned up before night dishwasher arrives, sweeping perimeters, organizing storage rooms, trash rooms, cleaning the basement, taking out recycling etc. This shift will be 11 am start some days and noon start time on others with an estimated 6 PM exit depending on the day.  The food running position requires the ability to climb stairs consistently with food in hand. Our kitchen is on the second floor. Must also be able to remember 2-3 ingredients on every dish and be able to professionally drop food at correct places. Strong communication skills are a must, this position regularly is the most direct line of communication between FOH and BOH. Must be able to carry 50 pounds upstairs, we expect all employees to contribute running bus tubs, and moving furniture when necessary, a willingness to pitch in wherever needed is key to this role. These shifts have 2 PM in - time and end usually around 9:30 - 10 PM.  Willing to train the right person, Room for growth and learning, shift meal everyday at 4:15.
