Position: Facilities & Fleet Operations Specialist Location: Durham, NC Pay: $27/hour Experience: 4+ years of related experience. (Associates degree with equivalent experience will also be considered) Education: High school diploma or GED. Type: Full-time; Contract Schedule: Monday Friday, 7am to 4pm (Ability to work OT and Weekends as needed) Greene Resources is seeking a Facilities & Fleet Operations Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description: Oversee asset lifecycle management, including purchase, disposal, titles, registrations, inspections, and taxes. Maintain accurate maintenance records, perform light repairs, and conduct monthly inspections. Schedule and transport vehicles for service; ensure cleanliness, safe operation, and compliance with company standards. Serve as PIT (forklift) trainer. Maintain roads, parking lots, sidewalks, stormwater systems, and erosion controls. Manage softscapes, hardscapes, and irrigation systems. Perform routine pest control and manage wildlife activity. Accurately log work and complete work orders and audits with precision. Conduct proactive audits and inspections to ensure OSHA, codes, regulations, and company procedures are met. Safely operate tools and equipment such as pressure washers and lifts. Support Business Continuity during storms and other emergencies to ensure campus safety. Oversee vendors and contractors to verify scope compliance and daily performance. Collaborate closely with Facilities and General Operations teams. Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and visitors. Position Requirements: Valid NC drivers license with acceptable MVR. Experience managing fleet programs and conducting quality control audits. Prior experience with vendor/contractor scope-of-work oversight. Ability to operate forklifts (PIT) and scissor lifts (training available). Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); adept at using laptops, two-way radios, and video conferencing tools. Working knowledge of OSHA standards, codes, and regulations; familiarity with HAZMAT recognition and program basics. Strong customer service orientation with proven skills in time management, organization, planning, and both written and verbal communication. Demonstrated analytical ability, sound judgment, and experience fostering team engagement and morale. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, adapt quickly to change, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Willingness to work onsite, exceed 40 hours per week when required, and provide support during adverse weather (hurricanes, storms, snow/ice). Physical ability to perform role requirements (e.g., operate equipment, lift up to 50 lbs., and work outdoors as needed).
