The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) works with Oncology HCPs to educate on disease state, patient adherence/compliance and product education to support patients. This support is provided to help HCPs have a better understanding of the specified disease-state, prescribed treatment, length of therapy, placement in therapy and the importance of adherence to medications. The CNE team also provides educational support programs for patient advocacy organizations to educate patients and caregivers. The level of the position will be commensurate with experience. This position reports to the Director or Senior, Clinical Nurse Educator. This is a field-based position for the Greater Chicago area. Extensive travel up to 75%. The CNE serves as a resource for HCPs by identifying needs and educating academic, community and private oncology clinics by engaging HCPs to understand unmet needs and current challenges patients and providers experience with their disease state. This includes but is not limited to disease state and product education, length of therapy, placement in therapy and the importance of patient adherence to medications. Conduct nurse in-service programs, including administration support, when needs are identified via TerSera employees and/or requests for such from health care professionals, ie, medical information requests. Essential Functions: Serves as a resource for HCP educational events, such as health fairs, symposiums, and lectures, as well as staff education. Participate in orientation, training and evaluation of new internal staff. Drafts quarterly report cards for internal breast cancer/neuroendocrine tumor task force and other internal groups to demonstrate outcomes and performance improvement activities across the oncology consortium. Responsible for outreach efforts to establish and maintain positive working relationships with HCPs across the oncology consortium. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, ie, ONS, AONN, etc. Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Uses and discloses only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job. Establish strong Account/HCP relationships Experience: Bachelor of Nursing Degree or Advanced Nursing Degree Active Nursing License Minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred Minimum of 3 years oncology clinical experience required, preferably with breast oncology experience Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of therapeutic areas of interest to TerSera Therapeutics, specifically breast cancer.
