General Manger Role The General Manager is the heartbeat of our café and coworking programs. This hybrid role requires both the hands-on expertise of an accomplished barista and the strategic mindset of a business leader. You’ll oversee café operations, lead a talented barista team, manage coworking memberships, and cultivate a welcoming community space. Roles and Responsibilities Coffeehouse Operations Lead day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience. Train, mentor, and inspire baristas, fostering a  team-first culture  and growing coffee skills, hospitality, and customer engagement. Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, teas, and beverages consistently to brand standards — latte art expertise is highly valued. Uphold cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across all café and bar areas. Support scheduling, inventory management, payroll, and vendor ordering to keep operations seamless. Execute opening and closing procedures, with flexibility to jump into any station when needed. Coworking Space and Community Management Act as the primary point of contact for coworking members, ensuring a positive, productive, and community-driven environment. Manage coworking memberships, onboarding, and renewals while fostering member engagement and retention. Organize and oversee events, workshops, and networking activities to build strong community ties. Address member needs promptly, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism. Business and Sales Leadership Oversee payroll, PandL management, and inventory cost controls to drive profitability. Develop and implement sales promotions, marketing, and customer engagement strategies to boost café and coworking revenue. Track and analyze business performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet financial and customer satisfaction goals. Collaborate with ownership on marketing, partnerships, and community outreach to grow the Three Whistles brand. Expectations Coffee Expertise:  At least 2 years of experience as a lead barista, supervisor, or café manager in a high-quality coffee shop or hospitality environment. Coworking/Community Experience:  Background in managing members, shared spaces, or hospitality-driven environments. Business Management:  Proven skills in payroll, scheduling, inventory, vendor ordering, and financial oversight. Sales and Growth Mindset:  Experience in promotions, upselling, and customer engagement to boost both sales and retention. Leadership and Team Culture:  Strong coaching, mentoring, and communication skills; able to lead with positive energy under high volume and pressure. Customer Experience Focus:  Naturally warm, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service to both café guests and coworking members.
