Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule Grade: 114 Salary: $15.52 - $25.44 Hourly (Dependent on Qualifications) Department: Solid Waste, Elliot Transfer Station E-mail: AshleyV@ ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Working 4/10's 40-hour work week, Monday - Saturday, on an 8 - 10 week rotation 5:00 am - 6:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed. Who May Apply? All persons legally authorized to work in the United States Responsibilities * Must be able to respond to calls throughout the night. * Operate roll-off trucks to load sludge from City Wastewater plants and unload at Cefe Landfill. * Have the ability to operate haul trucks for the purpose of being loaded and unloaded with debris from the Elliot Transfer station to the Cefe Landfill. * Able to work in other areas of the Transfer station, glass recycling, metal recycling, house hold hazardous waste sections, citizen collection center, and operate the tipping floor equipment. * Have the ability to perform maintenance on assigned equipment, every day and throughout the day as needed. * Responsible for ensuring the safety of self, the public and the environment. * Have the ability to screen numerous types of rubble and brush waste that comes through the facility. * As a first responder during natural disasters, must assist when clearing debris from roads to ensure safe passage for EMS, Police, Fire, and other emergency vehicles. * May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Requires High School diploma or GED * Minimum of two (2) years of experience * Class A CDL is required at time of hire * Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Texas Driver's License within 90 days of hire Other Information: Benefits The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes: * Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
