Café Coordinator/Barista – Chicago We’re looking for adaptive, dependable, and punctual individuals to lead the daily operations of our in-house café and to keep our team inspired throughout the workweek. As the face of our office café, you’ll be responsible not just for crafting exceptional coffee and tea beverages, but also for maintaining an organized and inviting café, pantry and common spaces. You’ll operate independently, take ownership of the environment, and continuously find ways to improve service and efficiency. What You'll Do Prepare and serve high-quality espresso, coffee, and tea beverages at our full service café Keep our café, pantry, and eating spaces clean, stocked, and expertly operated Maintain and troubleshoot coffee equipment with minimal oversight Track inventory, place orders, and adhere to a set budget Streamline processes to improve daily operations and guest experiences Assist onsite vendors and receive deliveries Assist our team by greeting visitors and assisting with occasional offsite events What We're Looking For Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, tea, and brewing methods A passion for hospitality and interest in developing creativity in café offerings Professional, approachable demeanor with strong attention to detail, and sense of urgency Comfortable working independently A keen ability to multitask and to monitor multiple activities at once Additional Skills: Knowledge of food and beverage safety and hygiene Experience with Google Workspace, Excel, and calendar management Familiarity with inventory tracking and ordering Ability to develop vendor relations Schedule:   Monday–Friday, Shifts are 7:00 AM – 1:00PM   OR   11:00AM – 5PM, with occasional nights and weekends as needed Location:   Downtown Chicago, close to public transportation Compensation:   Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Shift: Day shift Experience: Hospitality: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Chicago, IL 60611 (Required) Work Location: In person
