Sommelier – Team-Focused Wine Leadership: We’re seeking a Sommelier who brings not only a strong foundation in global wine knowledge—spanning both Old and New World regions, producers, and vintages—but also a collaborative spirit that inspires those around them.  Success in this role hinges on your ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and contribute to a culture of shared growth. You’ll play a key role in mentoring team members, guiding staff wine education, and fostering an inclusive environment where knowledge is generously shared. Your curiosity and leadership will help elevate the wine program while strengthening the team that brings it to life each day. Be warm, knowledgeable and courageous Provide friendly, knowledgeable, attentive wine service for our guests Act professionally and always maintain composure  Identify and report problems to management immediately  Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and be able to adjust for each guest’s individual needs  Implement and follow steps of service Oversee activities of your team in the station JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a clean, well-organized wine cellar  Engage in service. Even if there is no wine service to be done, pulling plates and contributing to our standards of hospitality are a must.  Keep staff abreast of beverage changes on the wine list, specifically regarding staff education about wines poured by the glass Conduct monthly inventory Know and be able to identify table and seat numbers  Maintain station cleanliness  Be willing and able to perform the sequence of service  Be knowledgeable of the menu Be an team player BTG facts- producer, varietal, region, vintage, flavor profiles Have a command over the beverage program with a rich background in coaching and developing.  Know the proper standard for opening bottles of wine and serving with a minimum of 3 years of being on the floor in a LA restaurant JOB REQUIRMENTS Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending and standing) Must be knowledgeable of the restaurant and entertainment industry.  Must have a deep desire to be apart of something bigger then themselves Must have a list of regulars  Must have full schedule availability Must be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamic
