ilili seeks experienced hospitality professionals for Server opportunities! Ideal candidates have previous experience in upscale, high volume restaurants in New York City. Executive Chef and Owner Philippe Massoud has built ilili’s reputation as a culinary go-to destination for elevated Lebanese cuisine. ilili restaurants are a vibrant and bustling meeting place where the refinement of neighborhoods meets the generosity of Lebanese hospitality. As a Server at ilili, you will work as an integral part of the service team, dedicated to providing guests with the most impeccable, accurate, and courteous service possible and exceeding guest expectations by paying attention to guests' needs at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ▪ Welcome and greet guests. ▪ Memorization of food and beverage menus inclusive of allergies, menu structure, and implementation. ▪ Make menu recommendations. ▪ Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale system. ▪ Communicate any food allergy or special nutritional needs to kitchen staff. ▪ Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. ▪ Provide attentive service to guests by following the Steps of Service and Front of House guidelines as laid out in the training materials. ▪ Perform side work at the start and end of each shift; including but not limited to performing some cleaning duties, folding napkins, preparing candles and flowers, etc. ▪ Maintain the dining room clean as well as service areas. ▪ Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. ▪ Promptly address any guest service issues and refer to management if and when necessary. ▪ Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable). Follow specific cash handling SOPs. ▪ Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members as situations arise. Position Requirements: ▪ Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor ▪ Proficient in the English language (verbal and written), second language is an asset. ▪ Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures. ▪ Basic food, beverage, and service knowledge. ▪ Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details. ▪ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. ▪ Ability and willingness to collaborate ▪ Great active listening skills ▪ Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system. ▪ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). ▪ Be able to safely lift 50 pounds. ▪ Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
