Client: Our client, a Washington DC-metro focused, residential & mixed-use investment & development company seeks a talented financial analyst/senior analyst to join the organization. With a very successful track record of creating compelling residential communities that build value for their neighbors and investors, this highly entrepreneurial, experienced, boutique-sized firm continues to drive a proven, successful multidisciplinary approach to an exciting pipeline of investment/development activity. Position Overview: Our client is looking for a new team member who will take on quantitative analysis for new acquisitions, capital markets, and existing portfolio assets. This individual will be involved in all facets of the business and will be able to learn real estate investment and development while contributing to the success of the organization by performing financial analyses of new opportunities, preparing appropriate documents to facilitate the underwriting and closing of real estate transactions, interfacing with Companys leadership, and tracking and reporting on the status of multifamily transactions. Essential Duties: Develop, maintain and update various development and acquisition pro formas: Individual asset-level pro formas and lender/Equity partner pro formas. Financial and asset-management reporting including partnership waterfall. Prepare Investment Memos and Offering Memoranda for new opportunities. Prepare Market Surveys to determine underwritten revenue and expense assumptions. Assist development and asset management teams in creation of project budgets and pro formas. Research new markets and investment strategies. Prepare demographic analysis and research industry trends. Interact with the firm's senior leadership, investment partners, lenders and brokers. Assist with due-diligence tasks with respect to zoning, title, environmental risk and other elements of due-diligence Assist acquisition, asset management, and development teams with other tasks on an ad hoc basis. Requirements: Bachelors degree. Strong organizational skills, independent problem solving, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. 2-4 years of related experience at a real estate investment company, investment bank, or brokerage company. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point. Highly proficient understanding of real estate finance and analytic tools. Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic. Possess a high degree of self-confidence with capability to interact well with internal and external teams.
