Bartender

Capo 29 is looking for a vibrant, customer-focused bartender to join the team in our St. Helena location.  The bartender holds the most energetic position, must be the most connected in reading the room, and a conduit to elevating the guest experience from the start.  Hence, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of fine-dining steps of service, a command on wine fundamentals, and a passion for all things food and beverage.  The bartender is both a gatekeeper and storyteller that directs the guest to the experience they want to have, and then exceeds it.   The bartender will be responsible for knowledge of menu items and their provenance, grasp of a depth of classic and modern-classic cocktail recipes, organized, graceful, attentive to guests and teammates, expedites the crafting of drinks with proper techniques and garnishes, holds highest standards of cleanliness, and works with a strong awareness of inventory, wares, and pour cost.  Must be serious about profession while maintaing a fun demeanor.  Sommelier training a plus.
