Bar Parisette is a neighborhood bistro in Logan Square. Our menu takes cues from the neo-bistros of Paris, as well as midwest seasonality. At this time, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated host to join our team. Candidates with a minimum of one year working in a high volume restaurant will be prioritized, but we are always willing to train the right person. Candidates must be: Punctual Friendly and considerate Excited to learn and ask questions Self-motivated, independent and organized Flexible and adaptable to the evolving dynamics of the restaurant Detail-oriented while remaining efficient Committed to fostering a healthy kitchen culture Able to manage stress and work under pressure Job Duties: Welcome guests into the restaurant Manage guestbook in Resy Organize seating chart and maintain server rotation during service Keep host stand and front entrance clean and organized Maintain detailed guest notes and communicate celebrations and special occasions to service team Assist with running food and clearing / resetting tables Actively support a cohesive, collaborative relationship between back and front of house Other: Excellent communication skills Must hold a current Food Handlers certificate from an accredited organization or be able to acquire one within a month Flexible hours are required (nights, weekends, and holidays) This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
