Program Manager IWere looking for a strategic leader to manage complex engineering and aerospace programs from concept to delivery. This role blends technical oversight, customer engagement, and business development, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Responsibilities include:Leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budgetManaging program financials, including profit/loss accountabilityDriving proposal development and contract negotiationsActing as the primary liaison between engineering teams and technical customersBuilding strong relationships across defense, space, and commercial aerospace sectorsIdentifying new business opportunities and contributing to product line growthImproving internal processes and eliminating inefficienciesCoordinating engineering efforts across departmentsPromoting innovation and patentable technologiesEstablishing and tracking program performance metricsQualifications:Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years in engineering services and aerospace product development3+ years of aerospace project management experienceExperience with parachute systems is a plusPMP or similar certification preferredStrong leadership, communication, and analytical skillsProficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookSolid understanding of aeronautical and mechanical engineering principlesMust be a U.S. Person under ITAR regulationsAdditional Info:Occasional travel required for supplier visits, product testing, and customer meetingsWork environment includes office, shop floor, field, and customer sitesPhysical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs with assistanceThis is a high-impact role with visibility across engineering, operations, and business development.
