Chief Estimator (Suffolk County)

Our client, an established 50+ year-old reputable General Contractor based on Long Island, NY, provides a high level of construction management expertise for a wide range of project types including public education (SCA work) and residential work. This firm has earned a stellar reputation throughout the construction industry by providing the highest standard of service possible. As Chief Estimator, you will: Provide hands-on leadership to a team of Estimators (currently 10+ people) while personally putting together large bids ($100 to $500+ million). Assist in preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Track ongoing projects and provide regular reporting on budgets, changes in scope and active change orders on each project. Report directly to ownership. About you: 10-20 years of hard bid estimating experience in the public sectors in NYC (mandatory ). 10-20 years of conceptual bid estimating experience in the public sector (mandatory ). 10+ years of experience bidding SCA work (mandatory). MUST be able to demonstrate at least 5+ years experience coaching, developing and directly managing a team. Extensive experience bidding and winning work in the $100million+ value range.
