This role plays a critical part in the pre-construction phase, serving as the key link between business development and construction operations. Youll lead estimating efforts across a variety of project delivery methods and pre-construction services, helping shape the foundation of successful builds.Key ResponsibilitiesDocument ControlOrganize and maintain all project documentationDistribute bid documents to trade partners and vendorsArchive estimate spreadsheets, vendor quotes, and subcontractor proposalsAccess & Logistics PlanningCollaborate with operations to develop site access and logistics plansShare plans with trade partners and vendorsPreliminary SchedulingCoordinate with operations to create preliminary schedules for pricingDistribute schedules to relevant stakeholdersSite Visits & Data GatheringAttend pre-bid meetings and site visitsDocument site conditions with notes and photosAssess scope of work with engineering and testing teamsCost EstimationAnalyze project documents to fully understand scopeIdentify self-perform and subcontracted workPerform detailed quantity take-offs and complete estimatesCoordinate with operations on productivity ratesPresent estimates during project turnover meetingsTrack time spent on estimating tasks per projectProvide conceptual estimates for litigation-related projectsReview estimates with operations and preconstruction leadershipSubcontractor & Vendor RelationsMaintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendorsSupport development of a comprehensive trade partner databaseContinuing EducationResearch specified materials and productsSave product data sheets within project foldersCollaboration & Client EngagementServe as the primary point of contact during preconstructionAct as liaison between business development, operations, consultants, and clientsPrepare and present materials for post-bid interviewsDeliver project estimates to clients and design teamsWhat Were Looking ForProven experience in construction estimatingStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to interpret complex project documentsProficiency in quantity take-offs and cost analysisCollaborative mindset with a focus on quality and precision
