Job DescriptionA fast-growing transportation company is seeking a Truck Maintenance Mechanic to oversee vehicle upkeep and ensure operational safety. The ideal candidate is a skilled mechanic with a strong background in truck and trailer systems. Working proactively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by performing minor repairs, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external workshops. Salary + Additional Benefits: $80,000-$84,000 Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Location: Navasota, TX 77868 Type of Position: Direct Hire Responsibilities: Execute vehicle inspection schedules and repair plans. Support the development of cost-effective technical solutions. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards. Address maintenance concerns in collaboration with workshops and vendors. Provide guidance to the team regarding technical details of the fleet. Support team training on technical processes and safety protocols. Track the inventory of maintenance tools and parts. Monitor repairs performed by partners, evaluate the outcome and provide feedback. Recommend improvements for maintenance operations. Liaise with workshops to ensure timely and accurate repairs. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and costs. Analyze maintenance data to improve efficiency. Set technical objectives aligned with operational needs. Implement strategies to enhance vehicle readiness.
