Elena James All Day ,  from the team at   Opal  and  Nina May , is looking for new team members!   We are searching for passionate and detail-oriented Baristas to join our team at our new restaurant in Chevy Chase. As a Barista, the ideal candidate exudes a positive attitude and the ability to convey our hospitality-forward concepts to neighbors and guests. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly beneficial. If you want to kick start or boost your career in the hospitality industry, we’d like to meet you! Who we are looking for: Individual with 1-2 years experience as a Barista or Head Barista in Specialty coffee Strong technical Barista knowledge and skills (extraction, texturing, pouring) Someone who is keen to train, mentor, and support teammates in their coffee education A hospitality first people person--you simply love to make others feel good, no questions about it! A positive contributor to the team environment, working cohesively with others to deliver exceptional experiences to our locals A multi-tasker who won't bat an eye even when caught under a bit of pressure A motivated and hungry individual who is looking for career development in the hospitality industry A fast learner who can shift from one job to the next with ease A punctual and reliable teammate, always on time for shifts and never leave your teammates hanging Skills and Requirements: Master the art of making coffee on La Marzocco espresso machinery Uphold the standards of the Elena James coffee and beverage program by closely monitoring the beverage products that each Barista/Server produces Provide genuine connection and hospitality to each and every guest that enters the store Train, educate and acclimate new baristas into Elena James systems Manage dialing in of coffees and calibration of grinders and brewing equipment through strong technical understanding of extraction and brew variables Familiar with coffee product rotation, ordering, and inventory management Follows Elena James recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner Follow all health and safety standards to operate a clean and organized work space
