Field Service Technician

We want to be the preferred partner for responsible forestry and to reach that we combine great people working together with high tech machinery and cutting-edge digital technologies.Summary/Objective Under limited supervision, the service technician - mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of logging machines (harvesters and forwarders) at the customers job sites; performs related work as assigned. Discretion.Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust have or be able to obtain a CDL license.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to the outdoor weather elements. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
