The Director of Electrical Engineering should inspire confidence in our clients and foster a positive working this role, you will:Coordinate the production efforts with team members to ensure electrical engineering services are maintained at a maximum efficiencyDevelop goals, policies, and practices to actively manage the electrical engineering groupReview the work of team members to ensure design excellence and ensure project performanceEstablish and foster successful relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and general contractorsResolve operational issues and keep executive management informed on the status of workBe responsible for project management and design oversight on select projectsYou will be a great fit if:You have a minimum of 15 years of experience, including 5 years of management experienceYou have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldYou are a Registered Professional Engineer (PE)You have a proven track record of operational management, project performance, project profitability, and employee developmentSkills/abilities:Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS OfficeWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams, other departments, and sometimes external partnersStrong decision-making skills and the effective ability to manage team membersA complete knowledge of electrical design, preferably in laboratories, healthcare, and federal projectsStrong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and guide a team, resolve conflicts, and make informed decisionsBeing able to foster collaboration and teamwork is essentialLocation: Bethesda, MDBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision. 401K with match, stock purchase option, PTO and 10 Paid Holidays, yearly bonus and more!#LIAbout Us:Founded in 1975, Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for our clients, our team, and the world.
