As a Business Development Director, you will work with the Industrial Water Market leader to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve corporate and project goals, ensuring profitability.Your responsibilities will include:Researching and identifying prospects and executing sales outreachCommunicating with prospects through to project contract closure and post-completionCollaborating with Market Leaders, Design Managers, Project Directors, and clients to foster complete concepts, minimize rework, and enhance client satisfactionPartnering with the marketing team on proposal development, digital presence, trade shows, and marketing strategiesSupporting project teams with background information and presentation strategiesPresenting at industry events and technical summitsPartnering with Market and Division Leaders on client acquisition, market research, and targeting strategiesLeading and supporting business development teams across marketsLeading market-specific presentations and supporting project teamsCoordinating with engineering leadership to identify technical needs and strategiesSupporting pursuit development and capture strategiesParticipating in industry organizations (AWWA, WEF, etc.)Travel as requiredPerforming other duties as assignedRequirements to thrive in this role:Strong water and wastewater treatment technical knowledge, including primary, secondary, and tertiary processes, as well as residuals managementKnowledge of wastewater permitting at federal, state, and local levelsUnderstanding of alternative treatment processesHigh client confidence and satisfactionExcellent communication skills bridging technical and operational contextsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or relevant Engineering10+ years of experience in the industrial water marketAdditional Information:We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development.
