The ideal candidate for this role strives to ensure that the development of our products and applications occurs in a secure and scalable manner and enables our developers to ship secure code.Through thought leadership and a strong partnership with Product & Engineering teams, this role will impact the entire Product Life Cycle by securing Software Development, Deployment & Testing.This position works alongside multiple Security Domains including Security Architecture, Bug Bounty, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, and Trust Services.The right candidate has an established record of setting long term strategy as well as short term wins to integrate security into the SDLC, drive Developer satisfaction, demonstrates subject area mastery, and can lead a technical teamThis position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President, Security Assurance.ResponsibilityOwn, manage and execute the vision for Product Security across the company, including but not limited to: Capabilities in the SDLC, Security Champions, Bug Bounty, Penetration Testing and Product Security ReportingEvolve and maintain a secure software development lifecycle, partnering with engineering to shift-left, drive initiatives, reduce risk in the development lifecycle and enable developer satisfactionIdentify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement, efficiency and efficacy of Product Security and shift-left strategiesExpand and evolve a team of application and product security professionalsProvide review and oversight of CI/CD pipelines, build, and release systemsParticipate in a rigorous threat modeling program in conjunction with Security Architecture, to be used as a foundation for risk management, development priorities, PSIRT telemetryDevelop Application Security scorecards to drive action and reduce risk for the organizationProvide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providersSet risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement and automate key risk initiativesLead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation and continuous learningManage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic LeadershipOwn oversight on security tools for improving usability, customer satisfaction and balancing needs of application securityDevelop and refine strategies for implementing application security controls within Lines of Business (LOBs) for improving developer experience and simplification of controlsSet risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiativesContribute to other practices areas of Product and Application security program by offering guidance on service execution, developer enablement, and remediation strategies etc.Job DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.What you bringBasicBachelor's Degree in technology or other related fields from an accredited university or college; or equivalent work experience in Information Security and Business/Risk ManagementMinimum of 12 years of experience working in Cyber Security, Information Security, and/or Application Security and ArchitectureMinimum of 5 years experience in people managementDemonstrated success in leading technical teams in a diverse environmentDemonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization as well as with clientsExperience developing and deploying product security capabilities for the SDLC with usability, developer delight and risk reduction outcomesPreferredStrong drive for coaching talent, a bias for action, prioritization and long term impactDemonstrated strong commitment to talent development, training, and coaching to expand and retain security talentProfessionalism, sensitivity, discretion, and sound decision-making skills aligned with interacting at the senior executive levelWorking knowledge of standard industry cybersecurity requirements and regulatory requirements such as; OWASP, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and PCI-DSSExperience in securing applications in cloud architecturesDemonstrated experience guiding prioritization, tradeoffs of work and long term program growthExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven leadership capabilities of integrity, self-discipline, building an environment of trustDemonstrated ability to drive clarity and consensus among broad organizationsAbility to interpret and translate customer requirements into operational actionsExperience working in development environments with .NET Core, Java or NodeJSWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $202,800.00 - $327,625.00 base salaryIllinois and Colorado: $193,100.00 - $272,750.00 base salaryWashington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $193,100.00 - $286,500.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals.
