TSChas immediate openings forpilots to serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) for civil fisheries enforcement maritime surveillance missions across multiple island locations in the Central and Western Pacific. TSC will provide required training for the mission and aircraft operations.Flying includes daily extended overwater surveillance at various altitudes, including low-level over-water maneuvering.Flights may be conducted in VMC or IMC, flying a variety of flight profiles in civilian-registered King Air 200/300 aircraft configured for maritime surveillance. Flight operations are conducted in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 in a dual-pilot configuration (although single-pilot operations are authorized) with a Sensor Operator and dedicated crew chief as part of the crew. The positions involve three-month rotational assignments that include pre-deployment training/travel and post-deployment administrative tasks/travel. TSC provides a generous meals and lodging allowance.Responsibilities - PIC:Act as PIC of a King Air 200/300 aircraft on functional check flight, transit, surveillance missionsAccomplish mission planning to include:Flight route, weather and fuel planning, preparation/filing flight plans, aircraft preflight inspectionsAircrew Risk Management assessments and aircraft weight and balance calculationsConduct of briefings with crew members and non-crewmembers on normal and emergency proceduresInspection andtesting of all aircraft lifesaving/emergency equipment for proper installation / operationAccomplish pre and post-flight record keeping administrative tasksPrepare informal and formal written reports of observations made during missionsProvide detailed and effective communication with crew and ground personnelActively participate with the deployed team in aviation and non-aviation capacitiesProvide aircraft and program capabilities briefings to local officialsOther duties as assignedResponsibilities - SIC:Act as SIC in a King Air 200/300 aircraft on functional check flight, transit, surveillance missionsAssist the PIC as directed in the accomplishment of all responsibilities outlined aboveAssist the crew chief with pre/post flight dutiesAssist in the preparation of international travel documents and arrangementsConduct of briefings with crew members and non-crewmembers on normal and emergency proceduresAssist the PIC with all pertinent inflight duties to include:Monitoring and cross checks of aircraft systems/instruments to fortify safe aircraft operationAssist with normal and emergency procedures checklistsPerform ATC and Oceanic radio communications during international transit and mission flights.Provide detailed and effective communication with crew and ground personnelActively participate with the deployed team in aviation and non-aviation capacitiesInspectandtest all aircraft emergency equipment for proper installation and normal operation.Assist the PIC with other duties as required.Required Qualifications:FAA ratings to include Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) and Instrument Airplane with Commercial Privileges (Equivalent ratings from the Australian Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) will be considered).FAA Second-class medical certificate, valid throughout deployment periodsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with the tasking authority, local officials, customer on-site representatives, and crew membersGood health and ability to maintain physical conditioning appropriate for the missionAbility to travel with reasonable notice for periods up to three monthsAbility to provide exemplary references as a professional aviatorCurrent US or Australian PassportRead, write, speak and understand EnglishMinimum 23 Years of ageFlight Time Requirements - PICMinimum of 1500 hours total flight timeMinimum of 1000 hours PIC timeMinimum of 500 hours AMEL250 hours in BE200/350Minimum of 50 hours AMEL in the last 6 monthsFlight Time Requirements - SICMinimum of 500 hours of total documented flight timeMinimum of 100 hours of total PIC timeMinimum of 100 hours AMELMinimum of 25 hours AMEL in the last 6 monthsWhen evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, quality, quantity, recent experience, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered aircraft.
