Founding Data Scientist

An early-stage investment of ours is looking to make their first IC hire in data science. Reporting to one of the co-founders (who is an industry veteran in DS), you will play a key role in shipping a category-defining product in cybersecurity (and author a new taxonomy and labels for the space as well).Going deep into raw data from large-scale enterprise systems (customers are F500's), you will generate insights from user behavior and create risk models, while leveraging AI, to develop products that incorporate these signals in a GenAI behavioral system.Our ideal candidate will have more experience doing data science work at companies where DS is the core product vs DS being in an assistant role (e.g., experimentation, optimization, etc.).Qualifications:MS / PhD with 4+ years industry experience in quantitative/statistical analysis of large-scale problems leading data science effortsExpertise in statistics, behavioral analysis, causal inference, predictive modeling, and/or anomaly detection strongly desiredStrong coding skills in Python requiredAbout Us:Greylock is an early-stage investor in hundreds of remarkable companies including Airbnb, LinkedIn, Dropbox, Workday, Cloudera, Facebook, Instagram, Roblox, Coinbase, Palo Alto Networks, among others.
