The company is entering a significant growth phase and seeks a finance executive capable of building institutional-grade infrastructure from the ground up.The Vice President of Finance will serve as the senior financial executive of the operating company, assuming full responsibility for accounting, reporting, compensation systems, budgeting, cash flow management, and post-acquisition integration. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, ideally suited for a candidate with a strong accounting foundation and prior experience in transaction-driven, service-based businesses.The position requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to operate independently, implement scalable processes, and maintain precision in a lean environment. As the business scales, this role will be central to ensuring financial discipline, reporting integrity, and investor readiness.'Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Operations & ReportingOversee all core finance and accounting functionsPerform daily bank and transaction reconciliations to ensure real-time cash tracking and early detection of discrepanciesManage the monthly close process and produce GAAP-compliant financial statementsLead the transition from cash to accrual accounting, establishing company-wide financial controls and policiesDevelop and maintain sophisticated KPIs and performance dashboards to support decision-making and drive accountability across the businessBuild internal reporting tools to provide performance insights by business unit, geography, and revenue contributor2. Compensation & Commission ManagementDesign and maintain systems for calculating and disbursing commission-based compensationEnsure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all compensation-related processesStructure compensation frameworks that support profitability, retention, and growth3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash ManagementBuild and maintain the company's operating budget and dynamic forecasting modelsManage real-time and forward-looking cash flow tracking to inform capital planning and decision-makingDeliver financial analysis to support strategic planning and operational execution4.Systems Implementation & Acquisition IntegrationIdentify and implement scalable financial systems, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and commission tracking platformsStandardize financial operations across all business linesIntegrate acquired companies into the financial structure, ensuring continuity in reporting, compliance, and systems alignment5. Compliance & Financial GovernanceManage all tax, payroll, and regulatory reporting obligationsEstablish and monitor internal controls to ensure audit readiness and mitigate financial riskMaintain compliance with labor classifications and compensation-related regulations6. Team Development & Vendor OversightPersonally manage all finance and accounting functions in the early phaseOversee external vendors including bookkeeping, tax advisory, and audit firmsBuild internal capacity over time as complexity and transaction volume increaseRequirements QualificationsExperienceMinimum if 8 years in finance and accounting, with at least 2-4 years in a senior leadership roleProven track record transitioning from cash to accrual accountingDirect experience integrating acquisitions into a centralized financial operationIndustry BackgroundPreference for experience in real estate services or similarly structured, transaction-heavy, service-oriented businessTechnical SkillsComprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in KPI development and financial performance analysisExperience managing commission-based compensation structuresAdvanced modeling, forecasting, and Excel capabilitiesFamiliarity with systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, Gusto, Spiff, and related platformsCredentialsCPA preferred but not requiredCompensation OverviewBase Salary: $175,000Annual Bonus: Discretionary, based on individual and company performanceEquity Participation: Option package tied to company performance, with participation in any future liquidity eventBenefits:Comprehensive health insurancePaid time off and observed holidaysCompensation may be higher for a candidate with the requisite experience and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
