The candidate will work closely with senior members of the group to actively manage business development opportunities and oversee client pitch presentations, idea generation and deal execution. The ideal candidate will take on a leadership role within the Technology group, and will be integral to building on the momentum of Oppenheimer’s Technology franchise and driving the team’s continued success and growth.This position requires in-person office attendance Monday-Friday.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of Managing DirectorsLead pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documentsAssist in thoughtfully identifying appropriate investors and/or strategic and financial buyersDevelop an in-depth understanding of our sectorsManage and execute on buyer interaction, transaction due diligence, etc.Review and oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses and researchMaintain strong relationships with client personnel at appropriate levelsSupport new business and marketing initiatives as appropriateDemonstrate a commitment to the group’s success on new opportunities, mandates and overall growthManagement, training and stewardship of analysts and associatesQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred6+ years of investment banking or active transaction execution experience in the enterprise software sectorConfident interpersonal skills to interact/manage clients and team membersDemonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysisExceptional communication skills and executive presence, both verbal and writtenElevated attention to detail and consistency in work productHigh degree of maturity, integrity, demonstrated leadership skills and work ethicSelf-starting team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environmentSeries 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam required at time of hiring or shortly thereafterCompensation:For job postings in California, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 at the time of this posting.
