As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Senior Director, you will serve as the financial lead for medium to large, complex employer client assignments. You’ll leverage your experience as a benefits financial/actuarial expert to make strategic recommendations on funding, plan design and innovative financial solutions.You will apply your financial management and data analytics expertise to solve complex client problems and to lead the development of new Health & Benefits (H&B) intellectual capital.The RoleDelivers complex financial/actuarial/analytic (FAA) concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive client action and improve plan performance, in collaboration with client service team (CST)Leads new business, expansion and cross-selling activities for actuarial, financial and/or risk solutionsLead clients’ financial/actuarial engagements for a large portfolio of highly complex clientsProvides leadership to teams in creating client financial and risk strategies by leveraging emerging trends, WTW intellectual capital and market innovationsProvides final quality reviews and client delivery for complex financial/actuarial deliverablesGuides team (client, regional and global delivery centers [GDCs]) on deliverables based on client needDevelops and maintains relationships with employers’ and vendors’ senior executive contacts to drive growth and enhance Health & Benefits’ (H&B’s) brandExpertly links clients’ benefits, financial and placement strategies to deliver optimal resultsParticipates in H&B brand-building through public speaking, membership/leadership role in key business organizations and so on to promote H&B and WTW growthMaintains optimism when faced with significant challenges; deals well with and learns from setbacks, helping others to remain positiveQualificationsThe Requirements15+ years’ experience and demonstrated success in the delivery of complex health and welfare financial/actuarial strategies and analysis in a consulting or brokerage environmentRecognized as an external thought leaderDeep understanding of the FAA (financial, actuarial and analytics) service catalog and expert knowledge in all aspects of benefit plan design, underwriting/funding, analytics and post-retirement/employment concepts design, underwriting and funding conceptsProven ability to lead data analytic projectsInterest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and leading the development of new intellectual capitalAbility to leverage judgement and past experiences to predict which methods will workMultiple years of experience across one or multiple client segmentsAn executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skillsSuperior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organizationExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPointState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joiningActuarial designation and current continuing education (optional)Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).CompensationThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $160,000-$265,000 USD per year.
