Job Description

Works under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician. Assists staff, providers, residents, and medical students with patient care, clerical, and organizational tasks using a team-based approach in providing patient care. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the care services. May be assigned to specific medical specialty (e.g., surgery, cardiology, neurology) to help with patient care related to that specialty or may be expected to cross-cover multiple specialties. Works closely with supervisor to ensure responsibilities are fulfilled in a timely manner. Required: License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Certification Work Experience and Additional Information 6 months experience in a clinical role in a healthcare facility Demonstrated competency in BLS & AED within first 90 days Key Accountabilities Assess physical condition (vital signs/measurements) & nursing needs, prepare patient, and assist provider in developing a plan of care to ensure an efficient and complete patient visit Perform patient care activities (e.g., phlebotomy, EKGs) according to the clinical scope of practice for LPNs to provide high-quality clinical outcomes Ensure exam room/work area is clean & safe, equipment is maintained, and exam rooms are stocked for the next patient Perform pre-visit and post-visit documentation to provide adequate care and complete records Complete inventory management of supplies to ensure exam areas are fully stocked and functional Participate in care team huddles to ensure collaborative care for each patient on every visit Maintain overall patient experience and safety, following all emergency clinical policies and protocols to optimize care experience Essential Functions Licensed Practical Nurse Training Program State Licensure as an LPN 6 months experience in a clinical role in a healthcare facility Demonstrated competency in BLS & AED within first 90 days #J-18808-Ljbffr
