This role requires subject matter expertise in at least one of the following service areas:Transmission PlanningGrid Modernization & Distribution PlanningResource Planning & Market AssessmentFinancial Analysis & RatesUtility Investment PlanningRenewable EnergyEnergy Asset AdvisoryZero Emissions TransportationThe Director will manage and provide expertise and professional development to a team of consultants and analysts in managing project quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontracts, proposals, estimates, and client relations. The Director will ensure client satisfaction through commitment, dedication, integrity, and outstanding service. The Utility Consulting Director displays leadership through example and is confident and willing to take it to the next level.What You’ll Do:Organize and direct consulting projects, including the overall pursuit, negotiation, execution, cost, schedule, and quality of deliverables.Facilitate workshop sessions with senior-level client teams to understand client requirements, uncover needs, and develop action plans.You’re a strategic thinker and anticipate client problems. You’ll provide innovative and impactful solutions.Your communication and planning skills are vital to keeping everyone on the same page with project personnel needs and department management. You’ll liaise with internal and external subject matter experts to pursue and deliver consulting projects. You’re often the first point of contact for all project-related communications and pile, distribute, and present status reports, including project progress, schedule, cost, and budget impacts to internal and external stakeholders.Establish project teams, coordinate activities amongst multiple disciplines, and ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff. You’ll provide performance feedback to personnel managers for project team members as appropriate. You’ll develop and contribute to training curricula and materials for consultants and analysts. You thrive on diverse perspectives, opinions, and experiences.You’ll be accountable for delivering third-party vendors and subcontractors, including contracts, scope, schedule, and budget.
