Posting SummaryThe Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School ( RWJMS ) seeks a highly qualified, innovative, and collaborative leader to serve as the Maternal-Fetal Medicine ( MFM ) Division Director. The Division Director will be responsible for advancing the clinical, educational, and research missions of the MFM Division while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and academic achievement. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a growing division within an academic medical center and health system partnership, expanding perinatal services and high-risk pregnancy care across the region. The individual will report to the Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and collaborate with the Women’s Health Service line leadership to address local and system wide goals and initiatives.OverviewLeadership & Administration: 1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for the MFM Division, ensuring alignment with departmental, medical school, and health system priorities. 2. Oversee and support the clinical, educational, and research activities of the division. 3. Develop and implement innovative programs to enhance patient care, faculty development, and resident and fellow education. 4. Recruit, mentor, and retain high-caliber faculty and staff within the division. 5. Ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and national regulations and accreditation standards. 6. Work collaboratively with hospital and health system leadership to optimize maternal and fetal care delivery across multiple sites. Clinical Operations & Patient Care: 1. Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered perinatal care, including high-risk pregnancy consultations, fetal therapy, and prenatal diagnosis. 2. Develop and expand maternal-fetal medicine clinical services, including outreach programs and telemedicine initiatives. 3. Collaborate with general obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to enhance multidisciplinary perinatal care. 4. Work with nursing and other areas of the health system to achieve system key performance indicators. 5. Participate in clinical care, maintaining an active role in the division’s inpatient and outpatient services. 6. Provide oversight in quality measures, patient experience and outcomes for the program. 7. Lead Department productivity initiatives and financial performance. Education & Training: 1. Provide oversight and mentorship for MFM faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students. 2. Direct, support and enhance the MFM fellowship program, ensuring a robust curriculum and compliance with ACGME accreditation standards. 3. Contribute to medical school teaching and educational initiatives, including lectures, workshops, and simulation training. Research & Scholarly Activity: 1. Promote and support clinical, translational, and basic science research within the division. 2. Foster collaboration on research initiatives between the division, department, and institutional research centers. 3. Encourage faculty and trainees to participate in scholarly activities, including publications and national presentations. 4.
