The Engineer is responsible for designing and programming AI systems, testing machine learning systems, and resolving issues with algorithms and data to ensure the system meets business requirements. The AI/ML Engineer will lead analysis, design, and development tasks to successfully build the application.Job Responsibilities and DutiesEnvision, design, develop, and operationalize end-to-end machine learning (ML) and AI pipelines.Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, developers, operations, and security teams to build robust application frameworks.Provide solutions and architecture for key business initiatives across consumer and commercial banking domains.Improve efficiencies in ML and deep learning workflow architectures.Discuss AI use case feasibility and translate vision into technical implementation with stakeholders.Work with security and risk teams to mitigate risks like data poisoning and model drift, ensuring ethical AI use and trust.Help the organization adopt an AI-driven mindset and stay updated on regulations to ensure compliance and ethical standards.Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to ensure AI platform success.Evaluate new tools and methodologies to advance innovation, scalability, and security.Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with risk and compliance teams.Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to enhance AI capabilities.Optimize AI models and improve performance in collaboration with data scientists and engineers.Design and integrate natural language processing systems for AI applications.Research and deploy cutting-edge AI technologies and frameworks.Create documentation for AI development and deployment processes.Test and validate AI models for accuracy and reliability.Experience NeededBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or engineering.6+ years in application design, development, and implementation, especially in banking services.4+ years working with AI/ML solutions in financial services.5+ years programming in Python, Java, and/or C++.Knowledge of data science, advanced analytics tools (SAS, R, Python), ML and Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow), and ML techniques (neural networks, random forest).Familiarity with software engineering and DevOps principles, including Git, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.Experience with AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, or similar platforms.Preferred: Certifications in AI/GenAI, ML, Cloud Infrastructure.Experience in banking/financial services is essential.Strong understanding of neural networks, computer vision, NLP, and reinforcement learning.Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Experience working with large datasets and preprocessing techniques.Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems.#LI-FO1#LI-HybridAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.About UsSince our founding in 1935, Webster has maintained a values-guided culture.
